Mid 70's. Sunny
I launched about 9 o'clock and went north upriver. Within 15 minutes I had one blow up on a spinnerbait with indiana blade and colorado blades (silver with white skirt). Since this was the 1st fish of the day I had to let it quick release. Then I stared fishing an 1/8 ounce shakyhead jig with a zoom red shad utail and caught a fat spot that was pushing 2lbs. About an hour later I started throwing a rapala dt6 hot mustard(brown back/yellow belly). I brought it down beside a laydown log that had very few limbs, about halfway out a 3 1/2 lb largemouth inhaled the bait. That one pulled me in my kayak, very fun. My last catch was on the shakyhead jig but this time with a watermelon seed 4" zoom dead ringer. This was a 2lb largemouth and was in a slack water area with a little wood. I had several more bite the jig and worm combo but missed em, they just tapped it hard once and spit it out. Also lost two more small bass on the rapala dt6.
