Cloudy with temp between 55 and 70
A friend of mine and I met up today on the Ocmulgee River in an attempt to catch a few winter bass. B4 I even
got my yak launched my friend already had one by the lips!!! In fact before we even got out of the launch site he caught
I know 3 but maybe 4 fish. The prospects for the day were looking good inspite of the water looking a little muddy
and the water temp being 49 degrees. The bite was pretty good in the morning but slowed dramatically as the day
wore on. All total, I got three strikes and boated 3 three fish. One was caught on a chartruse spinner bait and two were caught on a chartruse Rat-L-Trap. All fish were caught near rock in deep water. Attached are a few pictures of the two best fish I caught. One being a regular largmouth and the other a shoal bass. The largemouth weighed 3lb. 7oz. and the shoalie weighed 3lb. 8oz. I am also attaching several pictures of a set of shoals we paddle through at the end of the float.
