Windy, 20-30mph winds from wsw, gusts up to 40, air temp is upper 50s and water temp was 59
Tough day out there today, Denny and me split up to take to other guys out, I went out in Terrys boat and Denny
took Mark in his boat. We started the day with the rogue and x-rap fishing the "meat route"...our usually banks to fish,
unfortunately they were also the wind blown banks, so after an hour of getting run into the bank time after time we headed
to the west bank and fished in much calmer waters.
I got one 1 pounder on a shad colored cotton cordel crankbait, Denny got one stripper and a white bass..the other 2 got skunked.
Probably our biggest excuse for not catching any was a big NE canadian cold front is starting through, and the rest of the week
is going to be shot with cold temps, so this weekend was our last shot at some fishing for awhile.
Denny went on up north to dunlapsville area (where he got a nice stripper) and Terry and me took off to the main lake to
fish the road beds and causeway..no bites ...at least everyone else on the lake were getting skunked too. It s still
nice to just get out and fish, even if today was one of the few times with little or no fish.
The fish on the graph were all holding near the bottom, I saw a few suspended at 10-12 in 18 ft of water.
We even broke out some minnies and hit some trees, had one run but nothing...plus I realized out boring it was LOL.
We fished from 9:30 to 3:30, time to get a bon fire ready and some beer..
Till next time........
