High Pressure/Blue Bird Skies/Highs in low 80's

Decent topwater bite in the morning throwing Zara Spooks and Redfins on pea gravel points near spawning pockets. The immediate post spawn patterns are coming in to play. After the sun got high and I couldn't chase shade anymore I threw a 5" Chompers grub in salt and pepper and a Kanami 4" in natural shad grub on the same points. Held the boat in 25 feet of water about a cast's length from shore. Kept the grub close to the bottom. Caught several nice spotted bass and some short smallies. Dragged a mojo rig with a finesse worm around the points in 18-21 feet of water and caught 2 more spots.
