Raining, pretty steady drizzle, 8am until noon.
Got out on a local reservoir with my buddy Zak. We expected it to be slow with overnight thunderstorms and the final drizzle from the storm during our morning run. Luckily the wind wasn't as bad as earlier in the week and we could hold our spots and cast to the shoreline.
We tried a few different presentations but all fish we caught were caught on baby bass colored Husky Jerks with a slow retrieve and intermittent pauses. The fish were all caught in about 6-10 feet of water.
We each had a mix of largemouth and smallies with both of our best fish being my 2+ lb smallie and Zak's personal best 3lb 10oz smallie. We were soaked after 4 hours of being out but content in our success.
