Windy Cold front, cold all day

Friday April 6

Today I went to Center Hill with Derrick Elgin from Murfreesboro. Derrick has a tournament coming up next week and he booked a trip for pre-fishing. I heard there was a good Friday tournament on the lake and asked Derrick if he wanted to fish it since we were already there, he said sure so we went. We left out of ragland and headed towards the dam to catch some smallmouths and spots. We hit several areas and caught quite a few fish but all were just short largemouths and smallmouths, we did catch a couple of keepers as well. We then moved back to the mid-lake area and fished an area I had been catching some largemouth bass. We immediately caught a solid keeper and then managed to catch a couple of big fish over 5lbs. We caught our limit there and culled a couple of times. We ended up with 4 largemouth and 1 spot. When we went to weigh-in we were surprised to see some smaller weights, and we ended up winning it with 17lbs. It was a lot of fun and we had a great time. We caught our fish on jigs, crankbaits, carolina rigs and spinnerbaits. I still have days open in April and May be sure to setup your trip soon.
