Cold air temp 50s,water still 3 ft over summer pool,water temp colder now as a result

Birdsong creek,which is normally a tad cooler quite surprised me at a water temp of 61-62 f,was this warm a month ago.
Normal for now is air temp about 80 and a water temp mid seventies.
A month ago hitting top water not now but that shall change.The american lotus survived and is just under the waters surface about 1 ft,creating a space in between.Spinnerbaits and floating rattletraps produced a few keepers,most fish relating to steeper banks possibly because of the drawdown of 1 ft per day,bite was slow,but quite unusual conditions for here.Several days of warming and a normal water level or for that matter a rising one all bets are off.
Currently short fish came in on worms ,lizards and only keepers we had came on those two baits and not a whole lot of those but quality fish 3 1/2 ,3 and a squeeker in 4 hrs.Some larger fish either broke off or got off,but thats fishing.
Some fish hed spawned and some still had tails red and worn,an active spawner every now an then would break or chase a bluegill,fish very skittish,yes at times saw fish(bass) generally going in opposite direction due to boat.Actually saw more keepers than I caught.Tuff bite
