Wet, Stormy and lots of wind
25-27 Mar 2011 - Lake Guntersville and Lake Nickajack Fishing Reports –The past weekend, I had the great pleasure of spending a lot of time with past clients to last years TBF National Champion. Conditions are changing daily on Lake’s Guntersville and Nickajack. The water temperature on Guntersville continues to hold in the 55.5 to 64 degree range, we lost a little with the weekend rains. On Nickajack, it was hard to find warm above 60 degree and for the most part it stayed in the 56-58 degree range. We are seeing some bedding fish on Guntersville but not like past years yet. The best action for the most part is still in the 3-10 FOW water range using soft plastics and Tightline Jigs. Guntersville is producing 25-50 fish days for the most part. Lake Nickajack is primed and ready as well, fish have moved to a all out pre-spawn pattern and have staged on points and ledges ready to move up to the bedding areas. Nickajack is also producing 25-50 fish days with a lot of quality fish ranging from 3-6 pound. On both lakes, the best results have been in the mid-lake areas using soft plastics, square billed crank baits, Brush Hogs, Tightline Jigs “both Black/Blue and Guntersville Special Colors. The fishing is only going to get better on both Guntersville and Nickajack in the coming weeks with both lakes showing signs of a all out fish producing April and May! I have the 1st and 3rd of April available than the next open days start on 9 April, I’m already booking days for the May and June, make your reservations now for some great mid spring action on Guntersville and Nickajack. It won’t be long and we’ll see the steady top water bite on both lakes “Let’s go fish’ in”
