4 June 2011- Lake Nickajack – Today, I was joined by Sewell Boyz (Dad, Chandler and River) as part of Chandler’s birthday gift from uncle Tom. Water temps are holding at lower 80’s. We fished the mid-lake using Pop-R’s, Tightline Jigs, Assassinator Spinner Baits and t-rigged sped worms. We caught fish on every stop with lots of good keeper fish in the 2-3.5 pound range, plus a couple of really nice fish with Chandler’s Big Fish toping the scales at 5.2 pounds The vast majority of fish we caught today came from 2-8 FOW mainly on Pop-r’s. Nickajack is in full swing and is a pleasure to fish! It’s getting hot out there after about 10am, please drink lots of water and use sunscreen.
