Cloudy early turning to full sun by noon
31 Aug 2011- Lake Nickajack – I was joined this morning by Dave Prosser, Bass Assassin Prostaff/Area Rep from Franklin TN. We fished the lower end from Marion County Park down. Water temps are holding at Mid 80’s. We fished a ton of different products from Bass Assassin, Assassinator Buzz baits and a few crank baits. We caught fish on almost every stop with lots of good keeper fish in the 2-3.5 pound range. We boated at least four good limits of fish in just over 6 hours. The vast majority of fish we caught today came from 8-15 FOW mainly on Bass Assassin Tapouts, Rail worms, Fat Job worms and Buzz baits. We focused our attention on road beds and deep grass lines using T-rigs and 1/2oz screw lock football heads. Nickajack has great ledge and channel grass fishing! With Labor Day weekend ahead of us, please be safe out there this weekend. It’s still getting hot out there after about 10am, please drink lots of water and use sunscreen even on cloudy days. I have a few days available in September and I’m taking reservations for October and November!
