18 Sept 2012 Lake Nickajack – Spent the day on the water from Shellmound to Sullivan’s with Dave from Franklin TN looking to catch some Nickajack Bass. Water temps ranged from 76 to 79 degrees. We caught fish this morning on Tomahawk worms from Missile Baits, ½ ounce Assassinator Clacker Spinnerbaits, Swimbaits, Buzzbaits and SPRO Bronze Eye Frogs. While the morning was a little slow following the 4-5 inches of rains over night, it really picked up by early afternoon. While we did not connect with anything huge, we did find several solid 2-3.5 fish that were just stuffed full of shad. Our best fish came on a Clacker Spinnerbait in 7-9 FOW just outside the grass.
