Saturday April 7

I was on Old Hickory today with John and his son John who were the winners of a free trip from Doug Markham's Outdoor show. John had called and setup a walleye trip and then we had to move it to today. I was a little concerned with all the warm weather but pretty sure we would figure it out quickly, which we did. We checked 2 areas and the 1st had nothing happening and then the 2nd had fish but the current was too swift. We then moved to our final location and had a blast. We caught over 30 walleye and sauger and a myriad of other fish. I had an absolute blast and look forward to going out with John and his son again, we discussed a trip while we were out there. We caught our fish on 8lb test Suffix Pro-Mix, 5/8th oz jigs tipped with minnows bouncing the bottom. If you are interested in taking a trip contact Mark and have your day setup for you.
