Cold rainy day, temp dropped as the day went on.
Thursday Dec 22
Went out on Percy Priest today with Ryan Henry from Manchester. We started in the river portion of the lake, the water temp was 55-56 degrees but very muddy with alot of current. We did manage to catch a couple of fish there. We then went to the mid-lake area, the water temp there was 49 degrees. We caught quite a few fish in this section of the lake. All of our fish in the mid-lake came on jerkbaits. We were fishing Lucky Craft jerkbaits on 10lb Vicious fluorocarbon line. The bite was very solid for a couple of hours, we did manage to catch a solid limit of keepers and didn't have to run all over to find them. I held my boat in 12-13ft of water and cast at a 45 degree angle on sloping points, the fish were suspended off the ends and sides of the points. Every fish hit the bait on the pause, and as we learned today you can't pause long enough. Give me a call to go soon if you want to catch this bite or check me out at www.adamsguidesvc.com
