Warm 64 degree day, slight south breeze at 5mph
Friday Feb 3
Today I went to Percy Priest Lake with Mike Barnard from California. Mike was in town with his wife for business but had a day to slip away and we made the most of it. Being from California Mike has fished some of the best big fish lakes in the country so we tried to change it up a little and chase around some smallmouth bass. It started kinda slow as we were putting our pattern together. After about an hour we caught 2 nice smallies on crankbaits and that helped us out. After that I lost a giant fish, still pretty bummed about that. Mike and I noticed some fish being active and we changed up a little and didn't fish so deep, pretty soon it was bite after bite. Mike and I lost as many as we caught but we did manage to catch quite a few. We fished 4-10ft of water with crankbaits most of the day. We did try some jigs deeper but didn't have any luck. Water temps were in the 49-51 range and the fishing was extremely good later in the day. Mike Thanks for the great day on the lake, looking forward to your next trip to Nashville so we can do this again. The fishing has been fantastic, dates are filling up and I want you to enjoy days like this. Give me a call at 615-829-3902 or contact Mark at mark@adamsguidesvc.com and we will reserve your date and plan your trip.
