Bluebird sky high pressure system no wind

Friday Feb 17

Today I had a trip with Russ Morris, his son Russell and his friend Turner. We had a high pressure system come in with a bluebird sky and no wind and pretty warm temps. Water temp was 47 down around Elm Hill and were 55 in Spring Creek area. We had a slower start than what I have been having with the high sun. We started out with jerkbaits and a jig, catching several on the jig. We then moved up into the Spring creek area of the lake and caught some white bass, largemouths, spotted bass and a few yellow bellies on crankbaits. After fishing most of the creek we moved back down to the mid-lake area and were again throwing jerkbaits, spinnerbaits and jigs. We managed to catch a couple of fish including one over 6lbs. It was a really fun trip and is always exciting to be in the boat with a group as enthusiastic as this one. We already have another trip in the works. Guys thanks for a great day, fun time and lots of laughs. If your thinking about a day on the lake, contact Mark to setup your trip. Contact us at mark@adamsguidesvc.com or call at 615-829-3902
