Windy 20-25 mph, 77 degrees bluebird skies

Thursday Feb 23

I had the pleasure of fishing with Bill Hawk from Texas and his son-in law Justin from Franklin TN. Bill is a former BASS Pro and current Saltwater Pro for redfish and speckled trout. Justin is a songwriter and artist here in Nashville with some projects coming out soon. We had some tough conditions today, winds were in the 20-25 mph sustained range with gusts well over 30, bright bluebird skies and unseasonably warm 77 degrees. We started off throwing crankbaits in 4-10 feet of water, caught a few fish but the wind hadn't really started up so we moved deep and caught several fish on 1/2oz jigs tipped with Zoom Craws those fish came from 18-25ft of water. We went back to cranking and caught several more fish. We decided to change locations on the lake and moved up around Fate Sanders, that was a good idea, we caught a couple of fish flipping bluffs then found a good school cranking and proceeded to catch 15-20 fish in that area. It was really rough on the water but we managed to put together a pretty good day. Bill, Justin thanks for a fun day, lots of laughs and thanks for booking your next trip with me. I am currently booking trips in March, contact Mark at 615-829-3902 or through email at mark@adamsguidesvc.com so we can setup your trip.
