I had a crappie trip to day with Sam Holladay from Murfreesboro. Sam is a salesman from Murfreesboro Outdoors, the best baitshop here locally. It was a cold morning but the bite was solid early. As the high pressure system came in today the bite kept slacking off. We caught all of our crappie casting 1/32nd and 1/16th oz jigs with 2" grubs. Most of our fish came in the 4-7ft range, water temps were 53-54 in the mid-lake area, water temps around Fate Sanders was in the 54-55 range, the main channel is mud all the way to Bryant's grove area. Spring creek was stained about half way back in, most of our fish came from this creek. All in all we had 11 crappie and about 25-30 fish total.
