Tuesday April 3
I had a regular come back for his 4th and 5th trips. Larry was back from Chicago and we fished all day from daybreak to dusk. We started out with Crappie and managed to catch about 30 and had 19 keepers, all on jigs and grubs. We then shifted gears and went bass fishing for the middle part of the day. We got into some smallmouths and managed to catch some nice ones, we also caught several largemouths. We caught those fish on crankbaits and a carolina rig in 6-10 ft of water. As the day was winding down we chased white bass and hybrids with topwaters until the sunset. It was a blast and am looking forward to day 2.
