Nov 4, 2011, Tim’s Ford Fishing Reports – Spent the day on the lake with Stephen and his son (Matthew) from Franklin TN. While conditions where tough following the cold front, we managed to find fish and as Matthew said “We had a blast!” Most fish where in the 1-3.5 pound range with a mix of Largemouth and Smallmouth. Water temps are 58.5 to 62 degrees depending on what part of the lake you’re on. Our better fish came on Tightline Football Jig’s (Guntersville Special or Pumpkin Orange) and White Pro Assassinator Compact Spinner baits. We also fished XD6 Crank Baits and flukes rigged weightless with limited results. Do miss out on some great winter smallmouth action on Tim’s Ford. I have days available this month and have already started taking reservations for December and January, make your reservations now for some great late fall/early winter action on Guntersville, Nickajack and Tim’s Ford.
