Water is still hot and clear for the most part
12-21 September 2010 – Nickajack and Tims Ford – I made it out a couple times to pre fish and check both Tims and Nickajack Lakes, they are still slow. Tim’s is producing a few good fish in 20+ FOW and temps remain in the low 80’s, best bet to catch fish on Tims Ford is night fishing or early mornings, using spinner baits, crankbaits and soft plastics. Tims is producing a few walleye and the stripers are starting to school... Nickajack is in the same shape as Guntersville….water temps in the low to mid 80’s daily are holding the fish in 20-25 FOW. There is some top water action but not as in years past. This should improve over the next two weeks.
