Lake Waco Fishing Report

Mostly clear skies, light south winds, 72 degrees.

Wasn't really expecting much today. It was really more of a classic "Bluebird Skies" day. Water was slick as glass, but the clarity was pretty murky due to recent rains. Started off flipping a bleeding tube (salt/pepper) and only picked up a couple of small fish. Finally spotted a working fish way back in the buck brush. Tied on a Lake Fork Ring Fry (4" chart./pepper) and was able to pull her pretty quick. Stayed on this pattern the rest of the time. The fish were there they were just tucked up in the nastiest stuff they could find and not very active. Ended up having a pretty good day with about a 3.5 pound average. And for any of you that are wondering, not all of the females have dropped thier eggs so don't overlook those bedding areas.

Gone fishin',
