Hey guys,

We just added the Daiwa Megaforce 100TSH to the Member Tackle Reviews Section. A few members have added their thoughts and opinions. If anyone else has some thoughts to share on this reel, feel free to post it in the Member Tackle Reviews section. Hope this helps!

PS - The Daiwa Megafoce 100TSH Baitcaster is also viewable in Maximum Exposure!

I don't have the mega force, but Ido have a viento. At first you'll use the twitchin bar all the time. Then it kind of looses its appeal. But I still find myself using a lot. especially when fishing a worm or jig. I mostly use it to impart slight action to the bait or to bring in slack line.

zook, I own that reel, I love it! For the price it's super smooth, light and casts consistently...I'm not sure about anyone else, but I've noticed that a lot of the $60 range baitcasters seem to like to make their own adjustments....my burst has recently been a pain..I cast out two or three times no problem then on the 4th or 5th cast the line overruns the spool, occasionally leading to a birdsnest, but usually I just end up feeding out the extra line until I get it tight back on the spool....

Also, for the record I'm officially a Shimano guy now...love the citica, it's one of the smoothest reels I ever used

I have three of the 7:1 reels, I love them and have had ZERO problems with any of them. I have had them for about a year and have not even cleaned or lubed them yet and they are still smooth as silk and cast a mile! I use the twiching bar on worms to take up slack so that I can have my reel hand in front of the reel to help with hookset!

I personally don't like to use cheap reels, but of all of them I've used, Daiwa makes the best $100 and under reels.

For a few bucks more I have heard good things about the daiwa exceller, I have four of the exceller spinning reels and they are great. The only thing I think that the twitching bar would be much help for is engaging the spool when flipping, if it works that way.

I don't know about on the mega force, but the on the viento, it can engage the reel. I don't know if its bad for the reel though.
