I'm thinking of a home gym, in particular the Bowflex. Any experience out there or suggestion for other gyms?

My advice is use it ;D I have a Gold's Nautilus type machine at home, and haven't used it much at all. Then new years hit, and now I'm back at it.

Hi.. i've been into weight lifting for a long time... the bowflex is a nice piece of equipment.. rather expensive but I perfer free weights... i have a few machines but they are only used for certain exercises which u cannot do on free weights...

The best thing I like about bow flex is that you can't cheat on your reps. You have equal tension on both sides and you can't over compinsate for the other side. giving you a far better work out. also for rehab guys like me. if you have one side stronger than the other you can have high weight on one side, and lower on the other.
I did not add this last time cause I didn't know how much you knew about the bow flex it's self. Robby. |

One other thing is the dial up dumb bells. by bow flex are amazing! only thing is is that they only go up to 50 pounds, and are not totaly good for the bigger stronger body builder. I can't speak for you but these are also a good item.

Whatever you are gonna try dont wait. I slacked off on all physical fitness for a few years. Now that Im in my thirties, it's a pain to get back into it. My station is full of 20 somethings and to try keeping up with them is killing me. Even the basics, walk a little, push ups and crunches mix in some leg lifts and a good stretching regiment will do wonders. 8)

...my 12 ounce curls are primarily soda so the sugar is making me fat! Â* I'm the same weight I was in high school, I'm now 33, so I figure why work out? Â*I don't have anyone to impress, I'm married with 3 kids...oh, and the fact that I hate getting up early and having 3 kids might have something to do with why I don't do it! 8)
