New member here...been lurking for a while, but I finally decided to post.
I've been a Shimano Curado guy since I re-discovered bass fishing a couple of years ago, but I received a Cabela's gift certificate for Christmas so I was looking at their website. Anybody have experience with the Prodigy reel (or any of their other reels). http://www.cabelas.com/cabelas/en/te...ainCatcat20166 |

welcome to the bassaholic ananomus club!!! :
![]() I have not played with these reals "yet" although the only real I baught from cabellas when I was in sidney, NEB; was a cabellas brand MEGAROYAL round baitcaster have'nt had to many problems with it. although some times if i dont get the trigger pushed all the way and cast out the handle turns with it..If I get one more season out of it ill probably be satisfied.. I use this real with the cabellas label innercast pole Â*and i use it strickly for cranks Â*I dont have a problem with this pole. Â*works good when throwing cranks with 2 trebelhooks |

I use the Curados and have one of the Prodigys. The fliipin switch on the prodigy is sweet. Very smooth reel. The only problem I've had with the reel is the sppol not re-engaging when you reel but with the flippin switch it hasn't mattered.

I haven't seen a prodigy reel in a while but they used to be the same as the Pinnacle Tetra reel ,except for the exterior color and price.I bought the Tetra at Gander Mountain for $69.99. I am not sure if they are the same price as it wasn't a sale price or anything.I have notice the flippin switch engages the reel easier than turning the handle.I really like the reel alot, it performs well. ;D P N J
