Default another good day.

went out to the golf coarse today, and did some fishin after school. well started off throwin a red flack type zoom trick worm, i cated out to a fallen tree and got a nice 3 1/2 lb bass. then after a few minutes of nothin, i moved to another spot, and caught the second biggest bass of my life, just under 10lbs . i casted a red fleck zoom trick worm into open water and she hit. she put on a hell of a fight. something i have never seen happen before happened, it looked like the other bass that was with the one i caught, followed the one i had hooked all the way up with the bass and then swam off as i pulled her up. i thought that was strange. then i moved again to a chain of about 3 lakes that were outside the golfcoarse. it was filled with lilly pads and grass. i was fishin it and had a few hits but didnt get them. a few broke off tryin to pull them out of the cover on 10lb test :P so after gettin nothin on the trick worm, and since it was gettin dark, i switched to a buzz bait. got 1 short strike(shoulda put a trailor hook on :-/) and a ''shoulda set the hook you idiot'' strike. then i had 2 throw the hook right in front of me. then i got 2 more little ones, and then got a 1lb'er to end the day. all in all, i got 5 bass, and a few misses. but i was real excited that i caught that one HAWG. and i found that chain of 3 lakes(not big lakes, but bigger then the ponds, they were surrounded by woods) im goin out all day sunday to fish the whole area. hope to catch that bass of a life time.

I can't seem to catch any fish in ponds right around here lately. I've been catching good numbers in bigger lakes, but I can't seem to get anything out of ponds. Unfortunately ponds are the only bodies of water I really get to fish. :-[

what have you been usin? i know you have been using redshad worms. those are what work for me. im not to sure about the buzzbait..... because it seemed to scare a few fish off today. i could see them swim off. also, the spinner bait in chartruse has been workin well. try the trick worms, they have also been producing.

Well its not me not being able to catch as many fish as it is me trying to learn and use other lures. I know I can catch a fish or two at different ponds by throwing red shad worms. Â*I could've caught a couple more bass when I went to my friends yesterday if I just decided to deadstick senkos the entire time. Â* However, I've gotten good at using senkos and worms already so I want to learn to use other lures. Â*I ended up throwing a crank and jig most of the time, ended up at 0. Â*I think that to become a good bassfisher, you've got to be willing to not catch fish a couple of times in order to learn new lures and techniques.

i need to throw crankbaits more. but there is really no structure to throw a jig in the golf coarse ponds. i might try on tho sunday out in those small lakes around the lillypads or something. and a spinnerbait, even tho i feel comfortable with it, i want to catch more fish on it.

went out again today after i got back from the orange and blue game. i got about 5 fish. largest being a 5lb'er smallest being 5-6''. look at the size of that one caught all of them on a redshad zoom trick worm. had one on a spinnerbait, but the line broke :P i was at those lakes i was talkin about in the beginning of the day when i got there, but some weird guys pulled up in a white truck and drove over the curve aiming their hands at me like they had a gun, then they drove off. i kept fishin there, then they came back and stopped so i got the knife out, just so happens a cop pulled right up behind them and they drove off, what luck right. so decideing not to have to get in a fight, i walked back to the golf coarse where people were, and fished there. so i make note to not fish that area in the evening, and always have the cell phone, and knife. but other then that it was a good day, and i found a new lake on the golf coarse(this ia an actual lake. it only has the golf coarse on one side of it, the rest is surrounded by woods.) it looks promising. tommarrow, im gunna wake up around 8:00, run to walmart, to get a few bags of tiki dip stiks, another spinnerbait, another buzzbait, some powerpro, and some D.O.A.'S for the saltwater trip next weekend. the baitmonkey is gunna go crazy, cause this is about the first time i bought something in about 3 weeks, plus my dads payin for it since i helped him work the other day. then its off to the golf coarse to see what the lake holds.

ahh, those little rich boys probally wouldnt evenn know how to use a gun. but after the second time they came around, i did move to another spot. i think if they would have tried something, they would have gotten a little more then they bargained for.

yet again another good day. 9 bass total. largest weighing in at a whomping 6lbs ;D i caught 2 on the golf coarse ponds, dinks, no more then a lb. then the golf coarse security came out and told me i had to leave :P apperently you arnt allowed to fish it even tho i have seen a few people fish it before. i probally will fish it again, just on days that no golfers are out like rainy days or holidays like christmas. or just go out in the evening. the guy that told me seemed like he didnt want to tell me, like he didnt care if i fished on the coarse, so i didnt argue with him. i just got my stuff and headed for the lakes outside of the golf coarse in the community. i ended up catchin the biggest bass on a point that had a drop off right at the end, with lillypads all around them, i caught it on a tiki dip stik in redbug chartruse tip. then i caught a few 1-3 lb'ers on a tiki lizard in red shad. i didnt even know they had those. i caught 6 on the tiki dip stik, 2 on the tiki lizard, and 1 on a strike king bleeding bait spinnerbait. im not sure the color, looks like gold with red on it and some silver. i tried an hour and a half on the spinnerbait because i wanted to get some cinfidence in it, i caught that one bass on the second cast out by some lillies. i didnt see those guys in the truck today. and i had a good day all in all.
