What size sinkers do you guys recommend whn using plastics such as worms,lizards etc.

drop shot....unless im in heavy current i dont go over 1 oz........ and i dont go over 1/2 oz for bullet weights...

I prefer 1/8oz bullet weights

Sinker weights is one of the veriables that you will have to decide for yourself through experience. A standard rule is to use the lightest weight that you can get by with. If you are fishing out of a boat and in water less than six feet, you can get by with 1/8 oz sinkers. If you are fishing in deeper water you will need a heavier weight to get the lure to the bottom faster, but not so heavy that it drops too fast to look natural. If you are using "Snapback" or "XXX" lures, you will need a slightly heavier weight to compensate for the natural bouyancy of the floating bait. If you are fishing into the wind, you will need a heavier weight to cast, as you will have to adjust your reel tighter to compensate for the wind. If you are fishing from the bank, you will probably need to adjust to a heavier weight so as to cast farther to get a good distance form the bank. To throw in another variable, you will need to decide whether to peg the weight or not.
All this will be learned in time, to the point that it will become second nature.

It all depends if its open water you may want 3/16 if you have to go throught a matt mabey 1.5oz you will have to tell us where your fishin and then we can tell you want to use.
