Well I knew the c-rigging of a crank sounded good, so I worked it today. I was using a pre-made c-rig, on a MH spinning rod, with Powerpro, with a Mann's -2'-5' Shallow Floating Shad colored bait. Had it on about a 3' leader of Trilen XL 12lb mono. I was working it along a point, off of a cliff edge, in about 15' of water. The water temps were 45-47 degrees, working it slowly with twitiches and pauses, and a nice 21 1/2" beauty tagged it. My scale wasn't working, so don't know the weight, but it was pushing the upper 4's easily. It was the best fish of the day by far. I now have a new weapon for the arsenal. Thanks, for the tip.

Great fish Liz. On the NY charts, an "average" 21 1/2 would run 5-14, assuming you're talking LM, not SM.
