Being i rarely, if ever, fish a tiki stick, i'd have to say soft jerkbait, like a zoom super fluke. however, some days the fish will only take a senko or dinger. depends.

I'll take a slug-go over a senko anyday. And when it comes to wacky rigging to catch fish, I'll take a Zoom Salty Centipede over a senko on that day too.

I would take a weightless rigged tiki anyday over a jerkbait.

Okay Christ, here's alittle exersize I want you to try with your Super Flukes. Do a short cast into very clear water... a Kiddy Pool would be ideal (minus the Kiddies). Now, let the Fluke settle to the bottom of your test water. Let it sit there for afew seconds and give it a quick sharp jerk. The Fluke should jolt from the bottom and dart in some direction. That's the action you're looking for. Watch the Fluke, you'll notice it will gentally glide back to the bottom. That's usually when you'll get a strike. If that is what you have been doing, don't give up. Just like I've never caught a fish with a spinnerbait/buzzbait/crankbait, it doesn't mean I won't though them anymore.

InEccess, I am ignoring the rest of this drivel. You have never caught a fish on a spinner, buzz or crank???? You are fishing all plastics? Or jigs? DO yourself a favor. Try the others, they are great baits. Dedicate one trip to each type of bait. You can catch fish on a buzzbait at 2 pm in the summer. I have done it. Is it better in the morning under clouds? Sure. Can it catch fish at other times? You bet! Put away the plastics and try the other stuff for your next few trips. You will be a better angler for it.

OK Christopher, let me get this straight. You have tried a super fluke for 4 whole hours? In 4 days? And because you haven't caught a fish it is no good? Is that what I am reading? An hour a day times 4??? Dude, you need to work on patience. And maybe try a new spot. Four hours is not a fair try for anything.

change it up, on one retrieve, do a steady jerking motion(im being serious) and then if they dont want it start slowing the jerks down, till you are barly jerking, they should bite one of the retrieves.
