Default Catching Bass

Get a pack of Watermelon/Red (green with red glitter) Ultra Vibe Speed Worms made by zoom bait company. These are available from anglersupply.com, zoombaits.com, bassproshops.com........when you get them, cut off the tails and rig them texposed weightless on a 2/0 hook.
Cast near likely cover and let sink to bottom.....if nothing takes it on the fall, wait 25 seconds, then lift slowly to feel....if still nothing, reel in and cast to another likely spot.

In heavy weeds use a gentle bump and fall approach.....that is to say, cast to an open pocket, let fall......after 10 seconds, reel slowly until you feel it hit a weed, then let fall....bump fall bump fall......

Watch the line at all times. You will catch a slew of bass in reeds, near pads, weeds, weed edges and even at times in clear water near channels.
Even though your catch rate is good, it will probably improve using the above information
