swim baits or grubs

well heres my bait monkey question for the day..

tell me about swim baits..are they woth the price..fish catches/durability/ vs the inexpensive rubber grubs??

do ya have your favorate swim bait? web sites and or brands would be appreciated

If you had one pole left in the boat what would you do throw a swim bait on or a grub..

if you had to give them a 1-10 on the gota have scale what would you give-em??

can you get them with a weed guard

Thanks I have never fished with them yet. Â*they seem to be getting pretty popular around here just trying to get up with the times a little more and learn more beside T or C rigs lures..
