Finally hit the water...
...yesterday afternoon on a 1 acre pond. Had 60 degree temps and the snow was coming later so I knew it was now or never. Took my 5 year old son with me and we caught 5 bass all around 1-1 1/2 lbs. The water was muddy from 2 days of rain and it was cold. Didn't know the temp, we were fishing from the bank. He caught his 2 on a green zipper worm. I caught mine on a discontinued Riverside bait that looks like a YUM wooly beavertail. All 5 were caught probably 2 feet from the bank.
What an awesome way to cure the cabin fever! We now have snow on the ground this morning. :P |
