This was a great fishing trip! I went down the road to the pond that i have only fished 3 times. Kevin gave me this tip that said when you get to a small pond, try to walk around the bank slowly and lightly so the fish down know your there. So i did that. When i got to the place i wanted to fish, i took my wave worms (Thanks Reb!), covered it in powerbait bass attractant, and through it in. I had it in the wacky worm position. Then he hit.....i set the hook and he was on!!!! As he was coming in i felt him coming up to jump, so i put my rod tip down.( i read that u should put your rod tip down on a post in the message board section. who ever posted that, Thank you. I probably would have lost him if he jumped because when i brought him in he was barly hooked) he didnt fully jump so i pulled him in safe. He was a big, fat 2 lber. But here is the good part......when i went to pull the hook out of his mouth, there was another basses tail coming out of his throat. He must of been very hungry. Sence im new to bass fishing, i almost flipped out. i was so happy i cought my first bass on bass tackle. Thank you everyone that gave me these great tips! I love wave worms now. I cant wait to go back!!!! ;D
