New Lake

I found a great new lake today back in a subdivision. It is probably 400 yds by 100 yds and I caught 14 bass out of it in 3 hours. The key was finding the creek channel and casting a strike king tube bait across it on brush that was in the channle. There was a creek that came in at the north side of the lake and I thought that the bass were probably there from the spawn and that they were just hanging out on that channle. Two of the bass were over 4lbs. Anothere key was dipping the tails into spike it. They would not hit the tube unless it was done. I think when you do this it looks like the tail of a bluegill because a bluegills tail has some yellow on it.
Before I went to this lake I went to another lake and caught about 10 bass on the tube and one was about 25 inches long. ;D ;D ;D

The reason you had to dip it in spike it is most likely because the bass did not like the mell of the acids from you hands thare for dippin it in the stuff gets rid of it and adds a fish attracting smell instead of reppeling them.

mr big, spike it is a dye.......you dip your bait into it and it colors the bait.....i have chartruese....and i dont know how you got the stuff to work with tube ends.......they usually all stick together :P and the stuff smells like nailpolish so i have no idea how that didnt turn the fish offf ??? 25'' bass......thats usually somewhere in the 9lb range not knowing the girth.......cool 8) :

She wasn't really fat though because she was spawned out so she was probably a 7lber ;D and Spike it while it is a dye it has a garlic sent.
I also found another new lake today using terraserver that I will probably check out. Haven't seen it yet but its got a couple of laydowns on it and its got to have a creek channle because a creek feeds into it. ;D
