Wow,
I'm glad I saw that. I thought I was the only one in the world that weedless rigs his senko's. I thought everyone else wacky rigs them and that was the only way. |

Stets. for some reason I never wacky rig Senkos-just never have gotten into it. I use trickworms for that. I rig them like a weightless T-rig, although I discovered another technique I will pass on if it works.

I've gone to pretty much only Tiki Sticks. I like the Bamboo Sticks when it is windy because it has a little more bulk and will cast better than a tiki stick, but for most of my stickbait fishing it is a Tiki. My favorite colors are watermelon/chartreuse swirl and baby bass/pearl swirl.

Sure, Scott. Â*A Senko is a stick bait:
![]() And are usually fished either weedless: ![]() The way the bait in the picture is rigged is called Texposed, meaning the point of the hook is just barely in the skin of the bait. Â*I rig them the same way, except I keep the point of the hook buried in the plastic. or Wacky: ![]() Stets, Tiki Sticks are made by Wave Worms, and you can get them at WalMart. |

REB,
Looks like good information. I will tuck it away and read it later. I have never tried the Senkos. I tried the Wave Worms when they first came out, but lately I have gone to Yum Dingers. JackL |

Aren't Yum Dingers considered a Senko?

A senko-type, Stets. Senko is a specfic product name but is becoming a term for all those type baits in the minds of many.

I always thought it was Gary Yamamoto's Custom Senko Baits.

StetD and others..
I have some news for you and you all at least admitted not knowing what a senko is. I was at the BassMasters Classic a couple of weeks ago and I saw, heard a few fisherman come up to Yamamoto booth while I was in the booth observing and say, never heard of your baits before now, whats a senko and Kreature bait??? ;D The other news is, if you think for one moment that all the knock offs work as good as the original, ask the guys using the less expensive tougher baits which ones outshine the ones they're using now.... Most will admit that the Yamamoto baits works the best with their amino acids, softness and lots of salt... I always revert back to them and I get a lot of soft baits in the door to test our glue on and I fish with them occassionally and the Yammie always shines through when the bites tough or finicky whether others will admit it or not... Go ahead, Start the War here. Rebbasser.... lol ![]() Best Wishes for all Your Fishes! Mike ;D |

No shooting from this end, Mike. To each his own. I have always said use what works for YOU, not what works for me or anyone else. You like Senkos, I like Tiki Sticks. Different personal preferences, that's all.
BTW, your glue works GREAT for keeping a brush hog on the hook! |

Mikes glue does more than hold the Kreature to the hook, it can change its look too. I use the glue to put a Chart. Tail on the 918 Senko(peanut butter & jelly), works great

Hey eyes-I keep forgetting to tell you-the jig heads are fantastic when using a finesse worm. I went out to a local creek and caught a bunch on a T-rigged finesse worm using the jig heads. none were big, but sure fun to catch!

![]() Reb, That is a good article, i have it saved, thanks! When wacky rigging the Senko, place a small blk band around the center and put ur hook btwn the band and the worm. Â*It will make the Senko last much longer. Sandra |

This is true rebasser with personal preferences and just kidding around...
While attending the Classic with almost the entire staff from the Pres and Marketing director and more from Yamamoto, great fellas too, Ron Colby their webmaster and Joe Jones on their Pro Staff said they created the New Kreature soft bait using PRO's Soft~Bait Fishing Glue and I said no kidding, the stuff really works ah... ![]() My tip for all using our glue that I am finding out more and more that fellas and Gals haven't discovered as of yet is, You can apply PSBglue Topically ( yes, put a smidgeon on your soft baits as rigged ) Meaning, no sliding them down and putting glue on like you're used too and sliding back up to the glue. Just put on as rigged even T-Rigging and it wicks right into the baits, line, hooks and all. Plus it's much easier to change to another color or another style bait when you apply topically. Great on any type of fishing line to for knots and won't weaken any of them that we know of todate. Mix and match no problems and even Gulps too without the plastisol. Go figure... it turned out better than we thought it would.. : ![]() I heading out to fish next week and trying the new Kreature myself... Have a Great Weekend and Battan down the hatches. Screemin' Reels! Mike |
