People keep talking about chatterbaits. You might want to try one. I haven't used them yet. I've only been seriously bass fishing for a year, but I have tried most of the standard lures.
Plastics are my favorites. I started using tiki sticks (senkos) and flukes late last year. They are two of my favorites. Try them if you haven't. Even when bass aren't biting, a slow presentation with either will ususally catch you a bass or two. I've also started using wide gap hooks. They are hands down overall better than standard worm hooks. |

The essentials would be jigs & trailers, tiki sticks,2 zara spook jrs (1 chrome belly, 1 white belly),5" Kalin grubs (smoke color)& 1/4 oz. aberdeen leadhead jigs for the grubs. These are basic, but they will catch fish the majority of the time anywhere there is fish. P N J P.S. Of course you know everyone will have a different opinion.

I shouldn't say it, but the all time greatest fishing lure in the world is the Whiz Bang lure.It has been discontinued due to a sale pending of the company to a Japanese company, but there are plenty of Whiz Bang lures on the market yet. P N J

Chatterbaits are the hottest new lure. One of the good techniques lately has been swimming a jig.

As pretjah mentioned,
Get some sweet beavers in the 4.20 size. I have caught a load of fish with these baits. You may wish to also try a smallie beaver, it works well when fish want a finesse bait.

PNJ- SHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!! The men in red took my friend yesterday, he had been selling the W**z B***g at a small shop, and he got ratted out. I'm going on a warthog urine collecting trip in kenya, and I'll see if I can get him out and pick up a collection of the lure we do no speak of.
