has any one seen or used one of the new style minnkota's the new ones have a side to side directional foot controller a friend of mine recently bought a new tracker with this as standard equipment. the foot controler is thinner than any i have seen.about 3" deck to foot bed height-that is a guess-unlike the higher front to back foot controler's i have used. i would have to say even having run a bunch of foot controled trolling moters it took alot of getting use to.i belive it is a digital as the cord/wire running from the foot controler was very small-almost power cord size. i was wondering how they would hold up to a pounding?

Sorry never used or seen one. But from the descritption, it sounds like it would place a lot more wear and tear on your knee and ankle from the side to side motion, which isn't natural for you legs ???

Those $60 foot controllers are bad about going out. I have had no problems with mine, but I have three friends who keep replacing them?? ?
I will buy a better minnkota when I upgrade. Chip ![]() |
