Re: We are discontinuing Sponsorship
Sam,
Also very well put. If I haven't said it then here it is, I like this site. Better than any of the others. The only point I was making is the fact about people starting what looks like a legitamate topic only to go in and see it's some a$$anine post from a third grader with no supervision. ;D I don't have kids but would jump at the chance to take out and teach (what little I know) as much as I could about angling. Unfortunately my fishing resources are a bit...umm....out of reach right now. ;D My earlier point was not to ask for a moderator with a dictatorship attitude, just someone to occassionally be here to make sure the site is used somewhat for what they intended it to be. Not a place for kids to come compare homework. If they want to talk/post/tell their fishing stories, I think thats great. Skeeter |

Re: We are discontinuing Sponsorship
I would volunteer to be a moderator but I'm sure that's already been coverd. And I agree that this and every forum should be for license-carrying anglers, blocking all others. Or have a jr. site. (BASS should have one since they are supposedly the vanguard of world bass fishing. But, local clubs are supposedly responsible for youth fishing projects.)
I don't like to see miffed members, especially valued contributors and sponsors, but frictions do occur and people move on without the possibility to mend the rift. I would hope the welcome sign is always there for their warm return. Sam |

Re: We are discontinuing Sponsorship
And how are we going to know if someone has a license or not?

Re: We are discontinuing Sponsorship
Y'all are really big about keeping people off the site. What you should be doing is trying to ATTRACT people to the site. It's no wonder sponsors pull out with everyone saying 'we don't want them here, or them, or any of those either.' Sort of limits the pool of potential customers.

I dont have a fishing license. :\ Too expensive, I'd rather buy some tackle :P [/quote] How old are you? Where do you think most of the money comes from to support conservation, and local/state/and federal programs? Yes it comes from license fees, and if you're fishing then you should support this. Plus in every state that I know of you must have one(depending on age) If you fishing public waters without a License, and are rquired to have one, then you are POACHING. Lizards |

Re: We are discontinuing Sponsorship
It's $14.75 in Indiana. Regardless of how much the license cost, in Indiana, if your over 16 you need to have a license- The fine for fishing without one will be much greater than the license itself I assure you!
