First fish is deffinitely more than 3 lbs no matter which way you slice it. A solid 5lbs is what I'm thinking.
Pond fish shouldnt count? I'm sure if you caught a 14lb bass in a pond you'd throw it back and never speak a word of it... Any fish 'counts' no matter where you catch it. You dont grow bass, they grow themselves. You can stock a pond, but in most cases pond bass are just like lake bass, other than they are easier to locate in a pond. Lake bass have more potential to grow big than pond bass...

That fish is way bigger than 3 lbs. Why shouldn't a pond count? They are a fun place to fish, and you can get some good fish. If your trying to stir the pot leave.

Yeah, a bass is a bass, no matter where you catch it, or what you caught it with.
