Default Lowrance X75

I have a Lowrance X75 mounted at the bow of my boat. Last Sat. I hit the power on botton, and the usual black line came across the screen, and then the unit died. I have tried to re hook up the unit with no luck. Any suggestions? Is the unit fried? Should I go ahead and purchase a new one?

Did you check the in line fuse? Also I always seem to have problems(no matter what unit I buy) with the power cable wiggling loose or just not connected well. If none of those are the problem, then I would email them and ask if this is a sign of it going out. Heck I'd email them anyways.

DUX,
Check out the fuse as LIZARDS advised. If that is not the problem, turn the unit off and wait 30 seconds, then hold down the right and left arrow and push the power button. When the unit starts to come on, release the right and left arrow buttons. This is the re-set for the X-65, 75 & 85 units, and re-sets everything back to factory settings.
If none of the above works, call the Lowrance hot line at 1-800-324-1356 to see if they can help. If the unit is fried, you can send it to Lowrance for an exchange unit for either $65.00 or $85.00, I don't remember which right now.
Hope this helps.
