Welcome to the forum!

Hopefully one day I'll get up to your neck of the woods. I want to walk up a hill y'all have south of town.

Welcome to the NutHouse. Have fun, watch out for the baitmonkey, and don't talk to crazy people... wait, if you didn't you wouldn't be talkin' much 'round here. I take that back, you can talk to crazy people.

rebbasser why would you like to come up this way.you dont get to fish for bass as much as you do down your way.plus most of what we have up here you could use for bait to catch the ones you have.

Sounds good, Bob!

HH, bass fishing is my obsession, but the Civil War is my passion. If I want to walk up Cemetary Ridge I have to head up there.

Welcome to the forum, Howghunter! Hope you find everything you want right here!!

RBBSR, you need to visit Georgia if you are a civil war buff, I have a map of the Chickamauga Battle field on my office wall. There are battlefields all over North Georgia!

I know this doesn't have anything to do with the post but, speakin' of the War of Northern Aggression, a poor fellow just got hisself blown up in Richmond a couple weeks ago by Civil War-era ordinance. 145 years old and still deadly. Just don't seem right

Thanks for the clarification, Zooker-I thought that was a picture of your reaction after a couple of extra spicy bean burritos!

PignJig, you mean a mine? What? Or was he playing with blackpowder?

I've been lucky to travel to many battlefields, Antietam, Shiloh, Vicksburg, Ft Sumter, Fredericksburg, Mannassas, but Gettysburg is one that I havent seen. Yet. Must be unbelievable to walk towards the fence across that ground.

no reb after one of those you'll see them RUNNING away.. while i am standing there like this.

wtl
it was the most awe inspiring thing i have ever done..diffantly worth the trip to central pa..they re-enact the battle in early july -it has been hotter than a motha every time i have personally been there..

you got to give some respect to the guys/gals that re-enact the cival war. 90% of the uniform is mad from wool which is hot to start with than add shoes that are harder on your feet then you can even imagine..the shoes give me a blister in about 4 hours of running thru the grass. how they managed to march any distance with them things is beyond me..

now me i like doing it in the fall/winter
