Jitterbug 1 1/4 oz
Well I was shopping again today(what's new huh). And I came across my loved Jitterbug section, and low and behold theres a 1 1/4 oz Jitterbug. The front looks like a plate saucer Of course I couldn't pass that up, talk about a HAWG CALLER(that's my name for it). I can't wait to get the temps up where some topwater will be good, to try them out. I have never seen one over 5/8 oz around here. Well I'm staying away from the stores for awhile, at least a day or two I also bought some 14" Ribbontail worms from a local shop 8), along with some double bladed buzzbaits with the trailer hook built it I'm thinking Florida here I come

I believe those big jitterbugs are for muskies, but I'm sure you arent that particular. Throw that sucker along the canal weedline at twighlight and hold on.

Lizard,
Thats a little heavy for my taste, but I have no doubt you'll catch a Hawg with that "Hawg Caller" . Good call on those 14" worms, big fish love big worms! Tear 'em up in Florida ;D Kybasser |

Lizards...I have been looking for those double bladed buzz baits. Any chance you could get me an address or maker for them. I would appreciate the trouble.

I'm a Jitterbug maniac, but I use the 3/8 oz. size. The 1 1/4 oz. on their web site is non-jointed and has that interesting-looking pair of trebles in the middle with one sticking out from each side.

That ole' Jitterbug is hard to beat. We use to sneak down to the pond with only a Jitterbug tied on and a flashlight as kids. You chunk that bad boy out there by the moonlight and crank her in til BAMMMM The Jitterbug after dark is a nasty tool for the nighttime anglers.

[/quote] I am also a maniac with Jitterbugs, but I prefer the 5/8 oz size myself. That's it, and no joints, which I really don't care for. If I catch a Bass on these, they gotta be a keeper ;D. Bassinbob, all I can give you is their website for the shop I bought them at, and they don't have them shown on the site, but they may be able to email you a picture? These also have a closed eye which is very rare anymore, and the name of them is the "HARD HOOK", which they also have a built in trailer hook.(yes it's part of the lure), and the 2 hooks are stagered at different angles, which I've never seen before. They very well are made right there at the shop? They also have the buzzking dual bladed buzzbaits I usually buy, but these looked like a heck of a lot better quality IMO. http://www.TACKLESERVICECENTER.COM And the 14" ribbontail worms are a brand called "Big Sow", they do also have a site http://www.bigsow.com however they also don't have any pictures up yet, but it's a hand poured company from what the site does say. That's a Muskie Jitterbug. A lot of people swear by it for bass, especially at night.
