ive been experimentin'
since everyone rags on senkos,(including myself)i decided to some experimentin'
i started fishing the watermelon red flake tiki texas rigged wheightless,in some 9 foot depth water.i let it sink till about 5 feet.i caught 4 in a hour in a half.the next day i used a green pumpkin senko rigged the same way.the only difference was i was letting this one sink down 15 feet in 20+water.they exploded on it.caught 8 in two hours.i think im going to use senkos a little more in the summer/early fall since the fish are usally deeper.then the rest of the time i will use tikis

In this case, the old adage applies:
"You get what you pay for." Senkos are a superior product. |

from my experience the senkos are heavier than tikis and sink faster. i fish the senkos in deeper water and tikis in shallow water.

if you want them to sink even faster use flurocarbon and a heavier gauge hook

flurocarbon is not the answer,it will make it sink a little(verylittle)faster but you wont see your line.25 percent of the strikes i get are from waiting for the bait to sink, but you cant tell if you use flurocarbon because it sinks.even if have the highest priced polarized glasses you cant see it because in the water because its invisible.but for you florocarbon lovers like me,you can you can put a underwater microphone and actually hear them strike it.this is only for serious anglers that fish tournaments regularly,it is very exspensive.if you just fish for the loy of holding the fish,i would recomend a aluminum boat.you can hear just as well and when you put the price on it(including seat and trolling motor)it would cost about as much as that microphone.you can also get into small areas that bass boats cant, where a fish has never seen a lure kevin
