What do you think the best braid on the market is? I'd be using it for flippin'/pitchin'.

PowerPro.
Nothing else even comes close. I dont use any other line made.I use the 40# for flipping/pitching, 30# for worms, 20# for most everything else. Charles |

Power Pro is a decent braid but I've had problems with it. Give Tuf Line a shot. It is made by the originators of Power Pro and is a bit less expensive. I use sEa Kng Ultra a ton, it is similar to Fireline. Never had a problem with it either.

What kind of problems did you have with PowerPro? When you first spool it up, you might , but they go away quick. Charles |

well i am looking for a good braid and have test stren super braid, and gorilla braid much to my dismay. latly i have been using a calcutta ultra braid and i am very pleased with the handling and the feel i have been getting with this line. i have not had any digging problems or stiffness from it it handles alot like mono. although i use the line for large critter baits pitched or flipped in and around docks.

I can pull my boat across the lake on a snag! I even used it as an anchor as a bet with a buddy cause he didn't believe me. Needless to say he's a firm believer now and fishes Power Pro. If you havn't tried it you missing out. Robby. |

Power pro, I will admit that tuf stuff is as good. I bought some because they were out of PP. Have had 0 problems with it. Not as stiff as PP to start with either. 8)

I was setting the hook and it was popping with very little effort. 10/2lb The whole spool was like that. Could have been a bad batch but I've heard other guys have had the same problem.
