Default Sweet Plastic Worm!!!

I found a bag of cheap worms at a Big Lots store called "The Kangaroo Worm", only 50 cents so i picked up a couple bags of them in watermelonseed... we had a snow day yesterday, so of course i went fishing, and tried these out and caught like 10 bass! That's great for a cold ohio day!! They look like a berkly power worm in 7", but near where the tail and the main part of the worm come together, there is a little pouch, so i shove a big split shot sinker in the pouch, and fished it all day, it had a perfect horozontial retreive, deadsticking is what they wanted. Anybody else hear of this technique or this worm?? Thanks

Ryan

I believe Hank Parker use to push those worms. I remember them but haven't seen them in years. The trick with those was to put a piece of a Alkaselster (sp?) tablet in the pocket and it would release bubbles. I never did that with it but I caught fish on them. Cool you found some.

That was just one of the "gimmicks" of this worm and other baits of Kangaroo. And no, not many pics of these baits probably due to the owner taking them off the net in embarassament LOL
A few other things they would show putting cotten soaked in scent in the pouch. Also dif weights to make dif. drops.
All the baits looked just like worms your used to, the one I used to see was a 7 inch auger tail with a pouch about in the middle.
The profile was a little bigger around than I use, but they had some guy one tv nonstop late at night selling it ... I know Tom Mann sells the kangaroo worm , am not sure if its the same as yesteryears or not...

The Kangaroo worm is great in a local lake down here in junebug color. I have waxed SEVERAL fisherman using this worm. I dont use the rattles but the pouch holds are therfore making the worm float higher than the grass. A hint here for those paying attention.
