Re: kicktails and banjo minnows
Here's a good rule of thumb... if a bass fishing lure was good enough to catch fish, they wouldn't need to create an entire half hour infomercial to sell it. Look at the Sweet Beavers. I haven't seen them used at all on any fishing shows (I don't watch many), and I've never seen a commercial for them, but they do work. If the Baitmonkey's got you, read through what other people here are saying is good, not what the TV is telling you to buy.

Re: kicktails and banjo minnows
A buddy gave me a kicktail and they do work but they are not durable at all. They however do not catch the hell out of them and are not close to any of my favorite crankbaits in how much I catch on them. I have only used it a little bit and I have caught a couple on it.

I've only tried the kick tail once, i have to admit it worked, on 3 bass then fell apart, i think it would be as good as a lot of lures but they need to make it a lot more durable, most broken back lures catch fish pretty well, heck look at the broken back Rapala, I dont use them but i know a few fishermen that swear by them.
