Working the baits
Just thought how far from the boat you guy's work your lines.
Working your buzz baits, cranks ect.... I know evry time is diffrent but I want to know how comfortable you are on working the lines. What kinds of distance or do you like to work close up. I'm talking flukes, tiki sticks, spinners, what is your comfort zone? Â* Robby. |

Re: Working the baits
i like what i call hand to hand combat.most of the time i'm fishing 10-15 yds away if that.i'll cast far if i'm c-rigging deep water or if the water is ultra clear.otherwise i like to see the whites of their eyes so to speak.

Re: Working the baits
Well it truly depends on how and what I'm fishing. If it's working the shoreline(which I do a fair amount) I will usually be skipping plastics which I will be within 20 yards or so, sometimes a lot closer, even 5-10 feet. If I'm fishing cranks or spinners or topwater for that matter I cast as far as possible. If I'm c-rigging, again I will usually cast as far as possible.

Re: Working the baits
Mostly depends on whats being used. For the most part 10-20 yards is the max. 8)

Re: Working the baits
if i am working docks from the bank all the way out to the end of the uprights as i have never caught a bass under a float ever-seen them there never caught one there- mostly i let the bass tell me really if i am catching them 3 feet out from the weed line why work it at boat side -really-.
