this might sound like a totally ridiculous Question, but here goes.. lets say im going to tie on a off-set hook for a texas rig set-up. does it matter which direction you feed your line through the eyehole of the hook? going through hookside first or coming through the backside? actually i do it both ways, i figure as long as the hook is tied on what does it matter which way it was fed through.

I used it for a long time, too-then started using a Trilene knot and then when I started using braid switched to the palomar knot. All of them will work-use the one that works for you.

Just remember to wet it before you cinch it down-that is true with any knot on mono. The friction generated when you tighten it can weaken it when you pull it tight if you don't wet it first. That's especially true with flourocarbon.
