I saw a commercial on TV today, and they were adverising the bleeding bait hooks, nad was just wondering if they are actually more productive than regular hooks?

Re: Bleeding Bait Hooks
It's totally depends on who you ask Some say absolutely, positively YES they work(the whole issue of red hooks). Others say it's the biggest gimmick in the fishing industry for many years. I suggest you get some and make your own determination.

Re: Bleeding Bait Hooks
I bought a bleeding heart buzzbait form Strike King last summer thinking it might work. Well, I never saw a difference.
Maybe it was just my fishing, but I was catching just as many before I bought it. |

Lizards[/quote] Guilty. I absolutly, positivly believe tgey work. And the reason for that is that since i have switched all my crankbait front hooks to Bleeding Bait Hooks, all the fish target the red hook. Before, most of them would only get the back hook, but now, all the bass that hit it are squarely hooked by the front Bleeding Bait hook. Try em and see for yourself. You have to determine if YOU are confident useing them. Charles |

Re: Bleeding Bait Hooks
They sure look "spiffy" in a tackle-box. Don't they?

Re: Bleeding Bait Hooks
Any hook with a slight shine can be easily made red with a Sharpie marker. Good for touching up worn hooks as well.

Re: Bleeding Bait Hooks
i recently bought a pack, and used it last weekend. i also used a regular hook. and there was no difference. i dont think they do anything, i think it is more of a attention grabber and confidence thing.
