Default Culprit worms and lizards.

Has anyone tried or planning to try those tassell tail lizards or worms by culprit? I got some in a sample pack, and the look good, I am thinking about trying them, just looking for some input. In the sample pack, there was also one of the new stinger worms(another senko type), I am not sure about that though, I think I will stick to the tiki sticks and dingers. Thanks

I saw them on the site, and liked them a lot. If you have a sample pack try em out and let me know. I've bought so many dang Lizards, Senko's, Crankbaits, Spinnerbaits, Sun Glasses, Fireline, Powerpro, St Croix, G-Loomis, Pinnacle, Shimano, and everything else this winter, and spring, I'm afraid my boat will sink I just need to go use all this stuff.

I will let you know how they work. I have been meaning to talk to you about that fireline. The other day, I got snagged a couple of time and didn't really put alot of pressure on it and it snapped, twice. I think, maybe there was a nick in the line, or maybe a bad spool. I haven't given up on it, but it had me scratching my head. I still have it on 2 of my reels and hopfully will start catching some fish and see if it will do ok. I am hoping it was just a nick or something like that. Have you had this happen to you with the fireline? Just curious.

I fished the tassel tails last year. Did ok on them but not as good as the regular culprit. I used red shad.

Well I would say that doesn't sound normal for me. Have you switched out the last 10' of the line in awhile? You need to keep checking it, and as it gets frayed/nicked you need to replace the last 10' or so. Now when I say 10', look at the line, and you'll be able to tell where it needs to be replaced, sometimes 30 feet. Just from a lot of use, even in open water, you need to replace it periodically. Lastly check your rod guides for any nicks/scratches/gouges. I had to replace a couple of eyes, and the tip on one of my rods, because they were tearing it up. I guess you could have gotten some "BAD" line, but pretty unusual. But if it's worn out it will break. Remember, that it has no stretch, so it is wearing quicker than say mono, becuase of mono's stretching, to go over and around cover. But it should be visible if it's getting bad. And lastly what type of knot are you using? I use a palomer always. And you need to moisten the string when cinching it down, which usually just use saliva, but plenty. If any of these aren't the problem, then I have no idea. You know how much I love the stuff. And I have only had problems, when I didn't keep up on my line maintenance. Which I will admit happened some when first using it. Just wasn't quite prepared with what I needed to do, for the proper maintenance. Hopefully some of this will help. By the way what pound test are you using?

KShort, I have used the Culprit tassel tail 2 years ago. Here in NY you catch alot more pickerel than bass on them.I don't know why ,its got to be the tail action .The regular Culprit catches enough pickerel but they seemed to be a better ratio for bass than the tassel tail.It could have not had anything with the baits ,just the days, but I made up my mind not to buy them anymore. Hey,

I will have to check my guides, I didn't think about that. As far as cutting off the last 10ft of line, that particular day was the first time I had used it since putting the line on it. However, both breaks did come on the same reel, so I will check my guides. I will let you know what I find out. I can't remember what pound line it is, but it has 8lb diameter. I want to say 20lb with 8lb diameter. Thanks again.
