Default Question on Targeting Bass

I am going to the Michigan NASCAR Race this week and staying at a campground where there is a lake. I know there are bass in there because we saw people pulling them out right and left last year. There is some cover like tall weeds. How would I go about using a bait to find the bass. I am fishing from shore. Thanks

rrw, you already know the answer. Tall weeds-what will work in weeds? Spinnerbait, buzzbait, Tiki Sticks. This pond will be no different from any other pond-bass are bass, and can be found in the same places.

Find a likely looking spot and start throwing different baits and see what the fish want.

yup
fish are fish, they probably will eat the same thing up there as here, however in michigan the water is bound to be cooler and they may not have spawned yet,
their winters last way longer than most...I'd throw a plastic worm of sorts,,easy enough to travel with going to the track and all....
